The dates for this year’s HANYS/Cornell Academy for Healthcare Leadership Advancement have been finalized. This year’s Leadership Academy will begin September 26-28, with a three-day opening session at Cornell University in Ithaca. Following six online “virtual sessions,” participants will return to Cornell’s campus November 7-9 for the closing session and certificate ceremony.

This will mark the third year of The Academy, a unique training and educational collaborative that combines the world class health care analytic expertise of DataGen with the Ivy League executive education and business expertise of Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Programs in 2008 and 2009 received rave reviews from participants. Because space in the 2010 Academy is limited, interested parties are encouraged to register as early as possible.

“Attending The Academy was a fantastic experience,” said Carlos Sandoval, Chief MRI Technologist at Huntington Hospital. “It has given me the tools and knowledge to lead my department to a more productive future. I enjoyed every lecture and every speaker. This was a transformational experience for me.”
