This week, emerging leaders from hospitals and health systems will gather on the Cornell University campus in Ithaca to begin the 2009 Academy for Healthcare Leadership Advancement.

This year’s program once again reached full capacity, with participants representing health care organizations from every region of New York. HANYS and The Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell first partnered in 2008 to deliver a unique program of leadership, management, and health care curriculum that culminates with Academy graduates earning a certificate from The Johnson School at Cornell University.

This year’s opening program begins Wednesday at Cornell, with participants receiving Ivy League training and insight on topics such as leadership development, competitive strategy, industry analysis, and service excellence. Seven weeks of virtual classes will follow the three-day program. The three-day closing session and graduation is slated for November 15-17 back at Cornell University. Contact: Michael Fraser
