HANYS Solutions offers New York hospitals products and services that help capture, analyze, and report on Health Information Management (HIM) data. The 2010 Spring HIM Meetings, being held in seven locations throughout the state, will provide detailed information on these products and services and how each are evolving to meet the regulatory and environmental changes expected in the marketplace.

The 2010 Spring HIM User Group Meetings will focus on the following:

  • Reimbursement Updates: Enhanced Ambulatory Patient Groups (EAPGs), All Patient Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (APR-DRGs), and the Inpatient and Outpatient Prospective Payment Systems.
  • Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System (SPARCS) Changes: for clinical visits, payer typology, and physician license numbers.
  • Product Updates: UIS Data System™ (UDS), UDS-APC Software™, and Quantim®.

What you will learn

At the conclusion of this program, participants will:

  • understand the regulatory and reimbursement changes impacting HIM and finance; and
  • have a better understanding of the capabilities and benefits of HANYS Solutions’ HIM products and services.

Continuing Credits

This program has been approved for 2.0 continuing education units for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the American Health Information Management Association.

HERF is authorized to award 2.0 hours of pre-approved Category II (non-ACHE) continuing education credit for this program toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in the program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward Category II credit should indicate their attendance when submitting application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.

Registration Deadline/Cancellation

Registration deadline is March 22. Substitutions are encouraged even at the last minute.
