May 6, 2010
1 - 3 p.m. EST
This session will explain to health information management (HIM) and quality professionals how the data that they share with one another is critical to portraying the hospital’s quality of care.
With the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the New York State Department of Health, and others relying on coded data to drive their “report cards” on institutions’ quality of care, it is critical that HIM and quality professionals work together to understand the intricacies of the data.
This session will focus on pay-for-performance initiatives, which are driven by coded data, and the importance of hospital-acquired conditions in quality and reimbursement.
At the conclusion of this program, you will understand:
Eric Niehaus, Vice President, HANYS Solutions
Mary Therriault, Senior Director, Quality and Research Initiatives, HANYS
The registration deadline is May 4, 2010. Cancellations—less a 25% cancellation fee—will be accepted until April 26, 2010. Cancellations after that time are not eligible for a refund. Substitutions are always encouraged, even at the last minute.
Questions regarding registration can be directed to Joan Stewart, Registration Coordinator, at jstewart@hanys.org.
This activity will be submitted to the National Association of Healthcare Quality for 2 CPHQ CE credits.
